This quirky property is over 200 years old and has been beautifully renovated to offer a twin and a king size room, each with their own en-suite, an ideal cottage for couples, friends or families, packed with original features.

Accessed from a traditional yard and wooden walkway, you enter a light and airy hallway leading to both bedrooms which are stylish and comfortable. Up the steep winding staircase is a beautiful open plan kitchen-living room, complete with beams made from ancient ship's timbers and fabulous harbour views. This comfortable and well-equipped apartment is centrally located to numerous restaurants, tearooms, shops and pubs and all of Whitby’s local attractions.

The property benefits from a parking permit for the Abbey Headland car park which can be used all year round on a first come first served basis. Please note this a 5 minute drive and a 10/15 minute walk up-hill (or 5/10 minutes down-hill!) on Caedmon's Trod steps.

WINTER : November 1st - March 31st
The parking permit may be used in both the Church Street and Marina (Back) car parks on a first come first served basis. Church Street is a 1 minute drive and a 2 minute level walk, Marina Back is a 3 minute drive and 5/10 minute level walk.

The permit and directions to all car parks are in the apartment for you to collect on arrival.

At any time of the year Whitby is beautiful with it's busy harbour, long sandy beach and the famous 199 Steps leading up to the Abbey ruins which date back to the 7th Century. Whitby is an ideal setting for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors too. Ammonite Loft offers the perfect apartment for enjoying this area all-year round - not just for summer. It has gas central heating throughout making it cosy and warm for those wild autumn and chilly winter days. There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
